When you haven't made a Will
If you die without making a will, it’s called ‘dying
intestate’. It means your money might not go where you want it to and
it could be difficult for others to change this later. That’s not a legacy you
want to leave.
Your
estate, which is your assets and belongings, gets divided up according
to the laws of intestacy. These are different for single people (on their own
or living together) and married couples/civil partners.
